Arsenal fans will be able to enjoy the benefits of a 4mm alloy steel plate ring when the club takes to the pitch for the first time at Wembley on Saturday.
A club statement said: “Fans can expect the best of Arsenal, both on and off the pitch.”
The steel plate is a specially-made alloy, made by alloying steel, aluminium and a rare element of copper.
It is used to form a composite part of a football plate.
The steel ring is a unique steel plate that is made from steel plates.
It is the latest in Arsenal’s armoury of fittings to come under scrutiny.
In January, the club was fined £250,000 for failing to ensure all of its fittings and equipment met safety standards.
In March, it was accused of breaching the Football Association’s new ‘Safety at All Cost’ code.
Last year, Arsenal faced questions over the safety of its new stadium, where players will spend up to 50 per cent of their playing time.
